I'll follow up to say cup o' vinegar did not work even with plastic over it. I ended up using an empty juice jar to make a deeper trap, and put a peach pit & skins down in there. I left it sitting on my kitchen counter overnight, then capped it in the morning with one quick motion. No more fruit flies!

No authoritative or regulatory body anywhere in the world classifies styrene to be a known cause of human cancer. Moreover, a study conducted by a "blue ribbon" panel of epidemiologists and published in the peer-reviewed Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (November 2009) reports: "The evidence of human carcinogenicity of styrene is inconsistent and weak. On the basis of the available evidence, one cannot conclude that there is a causal relationship between styrene and any type of human cancer." Additionally, in 2006 the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' National Toxicology Program determined styrene to be of "negligible concern" for effects on human development and reproduction, including endocrine effects. Further, polystyrene containers for food have been used safely for more than 50 years, having been tested and deemed safe by government agencies. Any minuscule amount of styrene that may migrate out of polystyrene containers into food is far too small to be of any health concern.

I have spent hours on the computer researching what other people have said about baby items, best stores and what is a waste to buy. I'm also looking into cloth diapers...i will check back to see if you have any more tidbits for new moms. Thanks.

That tie pillow is so cool! I just broke out my grandmothers sewing machine and I'm starting to experiments with making my own embellished burp cloths, and some of my own wipes...I may have to try these too, especially that tie pillow!

I'm pretty sure about 90% of us have a confused look on our faces when we sing that song :)

And Rachelle, he does get up on his knees a lot & has his belly off the ground - but keeps the army crawl arm action. These videos don't do it justice, because he's such a ham when he's sees or hears the camera that he stops crawling to smile at it. LOL. It makes it a little tough to get action footage.

He's trying to get his knees under him in that crawling video! It won't be long and he'll be up on his hands and knees. Super Cute! Good Luck with keeping him contained...lol.

Oh....and I think I had the same confused look the first (and only I think) time I heard the possum anthem...LOL

I wish I had found this before I bought some:( I had the same issue with these and my older baby- they just leaked everywhere.
I also do not have a blog following (like none:) ) but I hope that my review pops up during Google search!
