My goodness look at our big baby! He’s 8 weeks old now and changing so quickly. Now our silly voices, cooing, and singing everything are rewarded with smiles. It’s the best. Smiles & poop. That’s what we get excited about. Lol! He goes a few days between poops, which sounds uncomfortable, so we honestly get excited. Plus it gives me a chance to brag about his awesome diapers. I love them so much.
We are in week 3 of my mom watching him and she got to change a poopy diaper for the first time today. The fabulous bumGenius 3.0 was full from front to back but no blow out. She is kind enough to rinse the diapers before putting them in the pretty Planet Wise wet bag, and she couldn’t believe how much the diapers absorb. That’s right! Poo is exciting!
In case anyone reads this and cares or is interested in cloth diapers I try to mention brands. Still loving the BG obviously. I think the Fuzzi Bunz one-size pocket is great too but I am too lazy to love snaps. i’m really impressed by the Rocky Mountain one-size pocket, which was recommended to me by a shop owner who carries it instead of Fuzzi Bunz. I like the fit and the suade lining washes really well, even after those exciting poops. Plus as an added bonus they make a super cute monkey print. I wish more cloth diapers were in prints. Just simple stripes & dots would be cool. I splurged on a Goodmana The Skully One (pic above) because of the print and reputation. From everything I’ve read online, GM is like the ultimate cloth diaper. People love them and they’re frequently sold out. I was excited to see the diaper in person & give it a try. The one size adjustment is different from others and the number of snaps is overwhelming. Despite all the snaps I couldn’t get a good fit on Sawyer and his clothes were soaked in just a bit over an hour. Super disappointing considering what I read and that it’s the most expensive diaper I’ve bought. Hopefully a few more washes will increase the absorbancy. It is made of organic bamboo. I bought another bamboo diaper, the brand is Bamboo Baby. I love it so far. It is super super soft and fits great. My next purchase will be BabyKicks’ new diaper which also has bamboo. I’ll combine super soft, super absorbant bamboo diapers with super trim, super absorbant, mold/mildew/bacteria resistant hemp inserts and will form the geatest cloth diapers, fit for royalty… and then Sawyer will poop in them =)
